Today TTC is the one of the major industrial zone in the country & has all types of industries including Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Sheet Metal, Engineering, Dyeing & Printing Breweries, Electronics and Paper numbering more than 1500 industrial units out of these, about 250 industries generate Hazardous Waste as per the Hazardous Waste (management & Handling) rules 1989 outlined by the Government of India under the Environmental Protection Act, 1986. Thane Belapur Industry Association was established on 15th August, 1978 to inspire and encourage industrial activity and harmonize relation amongst members to archive common cause. It is a premiere representative organization of the industries located in Thane Belapur Industrial Belt.
